Haverhill Police took a city man into custody late Tuesday night, arresting him for assault and battery on a police officer, among other charges.
Thirty-five-year-old Leonardo Gomez, of 127 South Elm St., was arrested at his home at 11:15 p.m. July 3 by Officer Kevin Billings. In addition to the officer-related assault charge, Gomez also must answer to charges of resisting arrest and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Elsewhere in the city this week, officers arrested Oxford Avenue’s Elaine Singh, 50, for assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon. Christopher Robinson, 58, of Harrison Street, was taken into custody on a warrant relating to the charge of indecent assault and battery.
