MV Chamber Brings Fashion Icon Yolanda to Haverhill May 1

Yolanda Cellucci, an icon in the Boston fashion industry since 1967, discusses her personal story and offers women tips for success during Merrimack Valley Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural and free Women’s Networking Night, Monday, May 1.

During the Chamber’s networking night Monday, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Haverhill Country Club, Cellucci discusses her secrets for building a “brand by design.”

Cellucci, 82, began selling wigs in 1967 and, soon after, opened her bridal store, Yolanda, in Waltham. The unusual store included a restaurant, health club, swimming pool, limousine service, hair salon, manicures, facials and massages. She became known not only for her business acumen, but also for her philanthropy. While her physical store closed in 2009, she opened a virtual one at yolandas.com.

The event is free, but pre-registration is required by calling the Chamber at 978-686-0900 or emailing [email protected].
