Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School students are getting ready to rock you. Members of the drama program are gearing up to perform their latest musical, featuring more than 20 of Queen’s biggest hits, this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Their “We Will Rock You” show tells the story of two revolutionaries out to save rock ‘n roll in a post-apocalyptic world where creativity is banned.

“It’s a menagerie of classic Queen, sci-fi and rebellion,” Amesbury sophomore Seda Tuncok says of the show. Tuncok plays the role of Brit, a character modeled after Britney Spears.

While most of the storyline is being kept under wraps, students have confirmed they’ll perform “We Are the Champions,” “Under Pressure,” “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Another One Bites the Dust.”

Hints Methuen senior Kourin Breen, who plays Paul McCartney: “It’s a show you won’t soon forget.”

Advance tickets for the 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday shows and the 2 p.m. Sunday matinee are on sale in the Whittier Tech School Store. Tickets are available at the door for $10.

All performances are held at the school, located at 15 Amesbury Line Road in Haverhill.
