WHAV’s ‘Your Hometown’ Features Interview with Late Bruce Arnold

On tonight’s edition of WHAV’s “Your Hometown,” Marc Lemay turns to the archives for an interview with the late WCCM broadcaster, Bruce Arnold.

Lemay recorded the interview several years ago at Arnold’s Lynn home, where Arnold—born in 1935 as Arnold L. Salvucci—told stories about his more than 50 years in radio. He began his career at WJWG in Conway, N.H.

Lemay said the show is intended to highlight an event next month remembering Bruce and his legacy and raising scholarship money. Only 200 tickets will be sold to the First Annual Bruce Arnold Memorial Scholarship Raffle, taking place Thursday, Sept. 21, 6:30 p.m., at Mann Orchards, 27 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen. Money raised will pay for scholarships for students from the region looking to further their education in media.
