UMass Lowell’s Innovation Hub opens to the public Wednesday at the school’s satellite campus, 2 Merrimack St., Haverhill.
The UMass Lowell Innovation Hub will officially open to the public Wednesday at the school’s Harbor Place satellite campus. Members of the community are welcome to tour the space, on the third floor of 2 Merrimack St., during an open house from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Wednesday’s event also serves as a kickoff for the Innovation Along the River Speaker Series. The night’s featured speaker is Dr. Ramaswamy Nagarajan, professor of plastics engineering at UMass Lowell. He’ll discuss textile advancements and UMass Lowell’s new Fabric Discovery Center.
Appetizers and drinks will be served.
The 11,000 square foot shared coworking space—which features a prototyping and fabrication lab—welcomed its latest tenant, 180 South Solar, to the building last week.
