Haverhill movie buffs take note: Two film festivals are set to take place in the city this month, with flicks for everyone to enjoy.

Currently in its fifth year, the Haverhill Experimental Film Festival will stage its annual screenings Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10 at downtown's new Harbor Place. More than 30 short U.S. and international films will be screened as part of the two-day event, which is illustrated using the themes “Pulse“ (Friday, June 9, 7 p.m.), “Orbit“ (Friday, June 9, 9 p.m.), “Closer“ (Saturday, June 10, 2 p.m.), “Blame“ (Saturday, June 10, 6 p.m.) and “Way“ (Saturday, June 10, 8 p.m.).

Tickets for all screenings are $5 and can be purchased at the door. For more information on the Haverhill Experimental Film Festival, or to reach directors Brendan and Jeremy Smyth, visit
