Theresa I. (Dudley) DeCicco, 84, Devout Catholic

Theresa I. (Dudley) DeCicco, 84, wife of the late John L. DeCicco, passed away May 8 at Academy Manor Nursing Home in Andover. Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Anna (Mayo) Dudley. Raised and educated in Chelsea, she attended St. Rose School in Chelsea.

Theresa enjoyed entertaining Saturday nights for coffee and pastry. She loved puzzles, watching movies and reading. It was all about family for Theresa and she enjoyed having everyone for the holidays. Theresa was a devout Catholic and said her Rosary every day. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Theresa is survived by her daughters, Denise Kerrigan of Haverhill, Maureen A. Verdura and her husband Andy of Haverhill; her son Joseph O. DeCicco, Sr. and his wife Suzanne of Malden; her grandchildren, Christopher, Gina, Danielle, Cassandra, Eric, Dana, Andrew, Patrick and Jonathan; several great grandchildren; her sister, Geraldine Doherty; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her grandson Joseph O. DeCicco, Jr. and daughter Deborah Wiley, son in law Kenneth Wiley; and several siblings.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Friday, May 11, 4 – 7 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will begin on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 114 Center Street, Bradford. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Primrose Street, Haverhill.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452. The family would like to thank Academy Manor for the excellent care given to Theresa.
