Riders get ready: The Shoe City Pro Circuit bike race is returning to downtown Haverhill on Sunday, July 8 after a 10-year hiatus and registration is open now.
The competitive trek is open to 100 male and 100 female participants in a variety of categories, with cash and medals awarded to top finishers. Advance registration is accepted online at BikeReg.com for $25, and race day registrations are available for $35.
At 10:30 a.m. on July 8, racers roll out from the start/finish line at 39 Washington Street and turn left onto Emerson Street, the race’s only hill. The route makes its way through Railroad Square and runs the length of downtown Haverhill’s Washington Street restaurant district.
