Haverhill’s two parochial schools, Sacred Hearts in Bradford and St. Joseph School, will celebrate Catholic Schools Week from Jan. 29 to Feb. 3 with special Masses and open houses.
At Sacred Hearts, parents of prospective students are invited to open houses on Monday, Jan. 30 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sacred Hearts School serves first through eighth grades and includes an early childhood center for children beginning at age 3. The school is located at South Main and South Chestnut streets, across from Sacred Hearts Church.
At St. Joseph School, Catholic Schools Week kicks off with Mass at All Saints Church on Sunday, Jan. 29 at 8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Students and parents will speak at each Mass about Catholic education. Parents interested in nursery and pre-kindergarten programs are invited to an open house on Wednesday, Feb. 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school’s Early Childhood Center, 120 Bellevue Ave. Open houses for the K-8 program are on Jan. 24 and 31.
