Sandra Carbone, 77, Former Nettle School Lunch Monitor

sandra_carboneSandra A. (Syvinski) Carbone, 77, of Danville, N.H., wife of Gerald F. Carbone, passed away Dec. 7, at her home surrounded by her family.

Born in Amesbury, she was the daughter of the late John and Olive (Brunelle) Syvinski. Raised and educated in Amesbury, she attended Amesbury Public Schools and was a graduate of Amesbury High School, class of 1957. She then attended Burdett Secretarial School, Lynn. Carbone was employed as a purchasing agent for Semi-Conductor Corporation, Windham, N.H., until her retirement. She previously worked in the Haverhill Public School System as a Nettle School lunch monitor and Bell Labs, North Andover. She traveled for many years with her husband to Europe, the Caribbean and throughout the United States.

Besides her husband of more than 54 years, she is survived by her children, John F. Carbone and his wife Edwina J. (Hanson) Carbone of Newton, N.H., Gerald “Jay” F. Carbone and his wife Deena (Lewis) of Stratham, N.H., and Michele A. Goodwin of Danville, N.H.; six grandchildren, Tyler Schorman and his fiancé` Stacey Stultz, Hannah Goodwin, Charles Goodwin, Daniel J. Carbone, Tiana Carbone and Marisa Carbone; and two great grandchildren, Scarlett Rose Schorman and Hunter Paul Schorman. She was predeceased by her sister Janice Allen.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours Friday, Dec. 9, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, at St. Anne Parish, 26 Emerson Ave., Hampstead, N.H. Burial is private. Donations may be made in her memory to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.
