Haverhill, here’s your holiday goodwill mission: The Salvation Army outpost on Main Street shared with WHAV a last-minute need for gifts to bring Christmas cheer to city children—and hopes the community can help play Santa.

Major Lynnann Rivers tells WHAV donations of new, unwrapped toys for girls and boys ages newborn to age 12, gift cards and new clothing in all sizes are appreciated ahead of a planned Thursday, Dec. 20 distribution.

Donations may be dropped off at The Salvation Army, 395 Main St. between 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Rivers said.
