The American Red Cross is utilizing Methuen’s Timony Grammar School as an emergency shelter and warming station for residents in the aftermath of Thursday’s Winter Storm Grayson.

With bitter cold temperatures expected through the weekend, Red Cross personnel invite any resident in need to visit the shelter at 45 Pleasant View St.

An additional Red Cross shelter is open at the Lowell Senior Center, 276 Broadway St.

All Red Cross-operated shelters are pet-friendly.

Those heading to a shelter are asked to bring necessary toiletry items and medications. If children are coming along, the relief organization suggests packing favorite toys or games to occupy their time.
