Police Arrest 20-Year-Old for Shooting Gun, Weapons Violations

A Haverhill man, arrested early Saturday on firearms charges, among others, is due to be arraigned in Haverhill District Court.

Shaun Ahern, 20, of 20 Arlington St., Haverhill, was arrested at 4:48 a.m., Saturday, at home. He was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, discharge of a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, possession of a firearm without an identification card, unlicensed possession of ammunition, possession of large capacity and a weapons storage violation. He also had an outstanding warrant related to possession of liquor by a person under 21.

Anthony Sapienza, 21, 55 Varnum St., Haverhill, was arrested at 4:19 a.m., Saturday, at home and charged with arson of a dwelling.

Jesse Fontaine, 36, of Plaistow, N.H., was arrested at 12:12 a.m., Saturday, at 105 Washington St. on a charge of driving under the influence of liquor and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Walter Winslow, 39, 12 Studley St., Haverhill, was arrested at 1:41 p.m., Saturday, at 4 Swasey St., and charged with driving without a license and with a vehicle lights violation. He also had an outstanding warrant related to unlicensed driving, disguise to obstruct justice and a number plate violation.

Amanda Gibson, 27, 134 High St., Haverhill, was arrested at 8:14 p.m., Friday, at 81 Pilling St. and charged with being a fugitive from justice.

Julie Tremblay, 55, 136 Winter St., Haverhill, was arrested Saturday, 3:21 p.m., 40 Bailiey Boulevard, on a warrant related to assault and battery on a police officer and resisting arrest,

Christopher Ofiesh, 31, 103 Summer St., Haverhill, was arrested Friday, 2:42 p.m., 373 North Ave., on a warrant related to refusal to provide DNA database sample.
