Residents of Plaistow may submit applications for the town’s next free Citizen’s Police Academy, kicking off on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

The 12-week course is held one night a week and covers a different area of the Police Department each week. Participants will have the opportunity to ride along with a patrol officer during a shift and learn defensive tactics and firearms training. A mock trial is also scheduled to take place.

Applications are due by Friday, Feb. 16 and can be found on the town’s Website. Participants must at least 18 years of age with a clean criminal record. Background checks will be conducted.

Interested candidates are invited to contact Captain Brett Morgan for more information via email at [email protected].
