Haverhill-based Pentucket Bank has their community’s back. The financial institution recently donated $60,000 to the United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley, with funds earmarked for local children and families in need.

Calling Pentucket Bank one of United Way’s top charitable partners, Michael K. Durkin applauded bank CEO Scott Cote for encouraging philanthropy among his employees.

“Pentucket Bank is a shining example of a community leader and corporate citizen that has demonstrated a strong commitment to children and families in need for many years,” Durkin said.

The donation will support the outreach efforts of United Way partners including Community Action, Emmaus, the Boys & Girls Club and the YMCA of Northeastern Massachusetts.
