Patricia Ann Hughes, age 46, of Merrimac, died peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday evening, April 24 after a valiant struggle with cancer.
Born in Newburyport, May 3, 1971, she was the beloved daughter of David W. and Ruth E. (Molthrop) Hughes, and was a graduate of Whittier Vocational Technical School in Haverhill.
Hughes had worked at the Exeter Hospital for many years.
In addition to her parents of Merrimac, Patricia is survived by her son, Rob Hughes; her daughter, Nicole Jackson; her only grandson, Camron, who held the key to her heart; her brother, Robert Hughes and wife Margaret; her nephew, Michael Hughes; her niece, Grace Hughes, along with extended family members and many dear friends, all of whom will miss her sparkling nature and her sincere, caring ways.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, April 27, 5 – 7 p.m. at the Highland Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 2 Hillside Avenue, Amesbury, with a period for prayers at 6 p.m. during the visiting hours. Burial in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Amesbury will be private for the family.
