Methuen Seeks Teens Who Apparently Broke into High School

Methuen Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two young men who broke into Methuen High School Saturday and caused damage.

Police and custodians discovered the break just before 7 p.m. They noticed an open door at the ice rink and damage to ceiling tiles in the skate room. Officers had also been called to the school around 4:30 in the afternoon when an alarm sounded, but there was no indication then of any break-in.

Security video shows two teens of high school age tried several outside doors before additional video shows them inside. One is approximately five feet, four inches tall, wearing a white baseball cap with USA on the front. He was also wearing a white short-sleeve shirt with gray features and black sleeves and with the number 23, black jeans and white high-top sneakers. The second teen was approximately five feet, seven inches tall, wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt, blue jeans and dirty white sneakers.

The two boys were last seen they leaving the school via the rear ice rink doors and heading towards the tennis courts.
