Methuen Police Ask Public’s Help in Identifying Latest Bank Robber

Methuen Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed the People’s United Bank just before noon, Wednesday.

It was the third local bank robbery in recent days.

Police said a man handed the 148 Lowell St. branch teller a note and then fled the bank on foot towards Ashland Avenue and then in a grey Nissan Sentra.

He is described as a light skinned Hispanic male; bearing a scar on his left cheek under his left eye; standing approximately five feet, six inches tall; weighing about 160 pounds; and wearing a red shirt, black pants and a black baseball hat. He may have been wearing a black wig.
