Several Merrimack Valley high school students will have an easier time with college loans thanks to scholarships awarded by Align Credit Union.

The Valley-based financial institution praised the efforts of more than a dozen students, including Methuen’s Sam Cook and Sarah Scougall and Andover’s Thomas Caron. Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School’s Emily Petrillo was also recognized with a scholarship from Align.

“For over 25 years, Align has helped students reach their goal of a college degree with our scholarship program,” Align President Ken Del Rossi said. “We truly enjoy meeting these outstanding students, watching them grow into incredible adults and leading successful professional lives.”

Since the early ‘90s, Align has extended scholarships to more than 280 area students.
