Mary L. (Johnston) Tingley, 58, Graphic Designer

Mary L. (Johnston) Tingley, 58, wife of Steven J. Tingley, passed away June 19 in Haverhill with her loving family by her side.

Born in Kittery, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Charlotte R. (Hillidge) Johnston of Haverhill. Raised and educated in Haverhill, Tingley was a graduate of Haverhill High School. She was employed at AT&T for 10 years as an assembler. A graphic designer for swimming pool liners, Tingley was employed for the last two years for Lahey Health Community Services Family Partner.

She has touched the lives of so many. From childhood to adulthood, she was always the “cool chick.” She gave her all to each and every person she ever met with asking nothing in return. When her granddaughter Ava came into her world, Tingley’s heart grew even larger. Ava will always be the love of her life. She loved to cook and loved traveling. A loving, wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, she will always remain in our hearts.

In addition to her loving husband Steven and mother Charlotte, Tingley is survived by her children, Jennifer R. Calnan and Joseph A. Calnan, both of Haverhill, stepson James Tingley of Michigan, granddaughter Ava J. Quintal, brothers Mark Johnston and his wife Gina and Scott Johnson and his wife Ellen of Lowell, sister Kelly Perez of Haverhill, cousin Carol Johnston and family of San Antonio, Texas, aunts Marie Caputi and Frances and Michael Arzoonian, both of Bradford and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Friday, June 22 from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main St., Haverhill. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Plaistow Cemetery, Elm Street, Plaistow, N.H.
