Laurie L. D’Amore (Seeley), 53, Human Resources Director

Laurie L. D’Amore (Seeley), 53, died peacefully at her home on Nov. 13, surrounded by her family.

Born and raised in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Myrl and Barbara (Belmont) Seeley, attended area schools and was a member of the Haverhill High School Class of 1983. During her teen years, D’Amore worked at Market Basket in Central Plaza where she met her husband Peter. After graduating high school, she took some classes at Northern Essex Community College and began her career in human resources. She most recently served as a human resources director for a Merrimack Valley-area newspaper.

She loved to shop–finding a good bargain was a bonus! She also enjoyed photography, the beach, especially Hampton Beach, and she was an avid Patriots fan. Christmas time was her favorite time of the year, as she would put her passion for baking into full swing. Most of all, she loved her family, always doing everything as a group.

D’Amore will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 30 years, Peter D’Amore, daughter Michaela, sisters Darlene Tilton and her husband Jerry of Standish, Maine, Leah Grant and her husband Michael of Newfield, N.H., Barbara Clark and her husband Christopher of Billerica, mother-in-law Mary Roberts and her husband William, of Naples, Fla., brother-in-law Stephen D’Amore of Malmo, Sweden, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend D’Amore’s Life Celebration to be held on Friday, Nov. 16 from 4-8 p.m. at BERUBE-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral will begin on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Church, Haverhill. A private burial will take place on Monday, Nov. 19 in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery.

D’Amore’s favorite color was purple. In her honor, the family kindly requests that you wear a purple item to her services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Inflammatory Breast Cancer Network at www.theibcnetwork.org/donation-page.
