John ‘Jack’ Drago, 60, Accountant

John “Jack” Drago, 60, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his loving wife Nancy and his sons Nicholas and John, his siblings Diane Meyers, Pamela Raess and husband Robert, Carole Drago, Barry Drago and wife Joyce and Jeffrey Drago.

Drago grew up in Wenham and attended Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School, graduating in 1976. As a teen he excelled as a member of the wrestling, football, and track teams, and was captain of the baseball team. He attended Northeastern University where he majored in business, accounting, and finance. A certified public accountant, Drago began his career working for numerous firms in the surrounding area. He became the president and sole proprietor of John J. Drago, CPA, P.C., where his business flourished in Andover for over 20 years. In addition to these professional accomplishments, he was also the chief financial officer of Immedia Semiconductor in Andover.

Drago was a devoted and loving father to his sons who participated in Boxford town sports over the years. He dedicated many years to coaching them in baseball, soccer, and football, which brought him tremendous joy and pride. A life long sports fan, he had a passionate love for the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.

A true family man, Drago wholeheartedly devoted his life to providing and caring for his family. He was a gentle soul who was always kind and compassionate.
It is difficult to say goodbye to such an outstanding father, husband, brother, and friend. We will all miss him dearly.

A celebration of Drago’s life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main St., Bradford from noon-3 p.m. A service in the funeral home will begin at 3 p.m.
