John D. Moody, 77, Bradford Ski Instructor

John D. Moody, 77, died peacefully on Dec. 10, after several years of failing health and a long struggle with diabetes.

Born on Oct. 22, 1941 in Morrisville, Vt., he was the son of the late Howard and Martha Moody.

An avid skier, golfer, and sports enthusiast, Moody spent his life teaching the sports he loved. He was a PSIA-certified ski instructor and enjoyed many years coaching ski racing at Bradford Ski Area. He instilled the love of the sport in all of his children. Moody later became a PGA professional and spent several years teaching golf in Port Charlotte, Fla., before returning to Haverhill. Moody was a great man who will be sadly missed.

His surviving family members include his children, Jacqueline Langlois and husband Richard, Jeffrey Moody and wife Rebecca and Jennifer Bresnahan; grandsons, Rich Langlois and wife Amanda, Chris Langlois, Sean Bresnahan, Ryan Bresnahan, Brendan Moody and Spencer Moody; two great-granddaughters, Olivia and Kennedy Langlois; siblings, Nancy Joslin, Thomas Moody and Howard Moody.

Visiting hours will be Friday, Dec. 14, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main St., Haverhill from 4-6 p.m. Relatives and friends invited.
