John A. Wyman, 85, Taught at Whittier Tech

John A. Wyman, 85, husband of the late Patricia A. (Dugas), passed away April 13 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen with his loving family by his side.

Born in Plaistow, N.H., he was the son of the late Harry E. Wyman and Emma (Haseltine) Wyman. Raised and educated in Haverhill, he was a graduate of Haverhill Trade School, Class of 1951. John served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged. He left school to serve his country and returned to resume his education becoming a teacher in upholstery.

John taught first at Whittier Technological School in Haverhill and Nashoba Technical School until his retirement. He loved candlepin bowling and was in various leagues throughout the Merrimack Valley. John enjoyed fresh water fishing and summering on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire with his family. He loved dogs and Pomeranians, in particular his beloved Lily. John will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his children, John A. Wyman, Jr. of Danville, N.H.; Cathryn A. Shubert and her husband David of Eliot, Maine; Jean M. Turcotte of Atkinson, N.H.; David A. Wyman of Atkinson, N.H.; Mark A. Wyman and his wife Paula of Arizona City, Az.; Paul A. Wyman of Haverhill; grandchildren, John Wyman III, Jessica Wyman, Kathryn Turcotte, Elizabeth Mailhot, Jennifer Allen, Adriane Martin, Lydia Schubert, Henry Schubert, Nicole Wyman, Rebecca Wyman, Joshua Wyman and Kelsie Wyman; great grandchildren Katrinia Haley, Nathan Allen, Taylor Mailhot, Abigail Mailhot, Jackson Mailhot, Madelyn Mailhot, Logan Wyman and Keller Martin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his siblings.

Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are by the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill.
