Johanna M. (Walsh) Johnstone, 79, of Haverhill passed away Aug. 10, at Penacook Place, Haverhill.
She was born in New York City, Feb. 2, 1938, daughter of the late Henry P. and Dorothy (Williams) Walsh. Educated in the New York City school system, Johnstone was employed in the telecommunication industry for many years. She was a member of St. James Church, Haverhill. She enjoyed reading and was a member of a Bible study group.
She was the wife of the late Edward Carle Johnstone and is survived by her sister Elizabeth A. Bresnahan of Haverhill as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her six siblings Claire, Robert, Henry, Joseph, William and Roy.
At her request, services are private. Arrangements are by H.L. Farmer and Sons Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Haverhill and Bradford. Contributions in her memory may be made to the donor’s choice.
