James Anthony Tombarello, 59, Owned Southern Concrete Repair

James Anthony Tombarello, 59, formerly of Haverhill, passed away Friday, Dec. 8 in Jacksonville, Fla.

Raised in Haverhill, the son of Winn and Joseph Ross, Tombarello graduated from Haverhill High School in 1976 and then served in the Marines.

He owned and operated Southern Concrete Repair in Jacksonville for many years, specializing in bridge restoration and the company even performed work for Universal Studios in Florida.

Tombarello was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time at his mountain homes in Georgia. He was a great cook and loved his dogs.

He is survived his wife of 23 years Susan (Hay) Tombarello, daughter Amber and her husband Ethan Orr of Ft. Leavenworth, Kan., son Ross and his partner Jason Fernandez of Atlanta, mother Winn Ross, wife of the late Joseph Ross, of Haverhill, brothers Scott Tombarello of Windham, N.H., Thomas Tombarello and his wife MaryKate of Sandown, N.H., sister Mary Ross of Bradford, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Joseph Tombarello.

Tombarello’s family would like to give thanks to his right-hand man, Oreste Dominguez, and his hospice nurse Tanya Vicciardo.
