Fight For $15 says during this week’s “Day of Disruption,” demanding $15 an hour and union rights, “hundreds and hundreds of workers” were arrested in civil disobedience protests demanding worker justice.

Fast food workers, Uber drivers, home care child care, airport and higher education workers rocked the country on the fourth anniversary of the Fight For $15 movement.

In the midst of these arrests, however, police in Birmingham Alabama refused to arrest protesting workers outside a McDonald’s. The cops told them they support their cause and everyone should make a living wage.
