Holy Family Hospital Appoints Christine Basil New VP, Chief Nursing Officer

Holy Family Hospital has named Christine M. Basil, MSN, RN its new Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, the organization announced Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Basil comes to Holy Family with over 16 years of experience at facilities including the Emergency Department at New Britain General Hospital (New Britain, Conn.) and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy. Most recently, Basil served as the Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer, Mass.

“I am excited to be part of Holy Family Hospital and eager to learn about the communities our hospitals serve,” Basil said in a statement. “My goal is to continue to move Holy Family Hospital forward with deep dedication to excellence in nursing practice and process improvement in order to enhance the experience of all Holy Family Hospital patients.”

Basil assumes the role following the retirement of 36-year Holy Family employee Martha (Marty) McDrury.

A member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and The Organization of Nurse Leaders, Basil earned her RN status from Fairfield University and a Master’s Degree in nursing from the University of Hartford.
