I scream, you scream—everybody screams for ice cream! A historian is set to dish up cool history on all things related to Friendly’s ice cream at a free lecture on Friday, Aug. 3 at the Langley-Adams Library in Groveland.
The 2 p.m. talk by Rose Slate highlights the cultural impact of Springfield-based brothers Pres and Curt Blake, who opened their first scoop shop in 1935, selling cones for just 5 cents.
To attend the talk at 185 Main St., in Groveland, register in advance by calling 978-372-1732.
