HHS Graduate Finn, 22, Succumbs to Opioid Addiction

joseph_finnJoseph P. Finn, 22, of Haverhill, passed away Oct. 23, after a battle of opioid addiction.

He was born March 1, 1994, in Cambridge. Finn attended Essex Agriculture High School and graduated from Haverhill High School. He was currently enrolled at UMass Amherst, pursuing a degree in psychology. He loved basketball, football, his dogs, family and hanging out with his friends.

He leaves his parents Kim and John Cowan and his sister Tara Cowan; grandparents Barbara and John Ryan, of Arlington, and Jean Cowan of West Palm Beach, Fla.; several aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and his two dogs Sox and Shannon.

Visitation takes place Friday, Oct. 28, at Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 South Main St., Haverhill from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be a private service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Joey Patrick Fund, at any local TD Bank. The fund will be used to help prevent opioid addiction.
