Henry M. Moylan, 94, WW II Veteran, Bell Laboratories Engineer

Henry M. Moylan, 94, passed away peacefully at High Pointe House, Haverhill, Sunday Sept. 17.

He was the husband of the late Marie (Roselli) Moylan. Moylan was born Sept. 16, 1923, in Haverhill, son of the late Myles and Pauline (Chaput) Moylan. He was a longtime resident of Haverhill having attended Haverhill schools and graduating from Haverhill High School in 1941. He joined the United States Army in February of his senior year at Haverhill High School and was a proud veteran of World War II. He was employed as a design engineer with Bell Laboratories in North Andover for more than 20 years. He was a longtime member of the American Legion, and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and golfing. He most enjoyed his vacations on the Isaac H. Evans and American Eagle Schooners. He also took great joy in watching his favorite New England sports teams.

Moylan is survived by three children, Michael Moylan and wife Diane Hyrst of Medford, Ore., Kathy Mancini and husband Michael of Westford, and Matthew Moylan and wife Emilia of Methuen; brother; Laurence Moylan of Ipswich; seven grandchildren, Dylan, Alicia, Myles, Andrew, Christopher, Allison and Julia; three great-grandchildren, Lexus, Fletcher and Ayla; and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Marie, Henry was predeceased by his grandson; Aaron and two sisters; Lucille and Priscilla.

Calling hours take place Friday, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Grondin-Carnevale Funeral Home 129 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, 9 a.m., from Sacred Hearts Parish 165 South Main St. Bradford. Burial takes place at Saint James Cemetery, Primrose Street.
