Haverhill is getting ready to boogie down on the boardwalk! Starting with a salsa dancing session on Saturday, July 14, the city’s latest event series will feature music, dancing and refreshments throughout the end of August.

On Saturdays from 6-8 p.m., the boardwalk behind Harbor Place is the place to be for doo-wop, country and Caribbean music concerts. A $10 entry fee benefits local nonprofit organizations.

Two free afternoon events are also planned: A July 28 “Super Saturday” family festival and a “Dog Days of Summer” pet-friendly afternoon on Aug. 18. Both events take place from 1-3 p.m.

Advance registration for the summer concerts is required and available by calling the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce at 978-373-5663.

This summer’s event schedule is as follows:

July 28: Super Saturday on the Boardwalk
