Charles Manzi, of Haverhill, is being honored tonight during The Psychological Center’s first “Overcoming Obstacles Gala.”

Manzi, marketing sales manager at Methuen’s Comfort Home Care and addiction counselor at Haverhill’s Serenity at Summit New England, is being recognized for his contributions and dedication to the community. He is a board member of Northern Essex Community College Foundation, member of Haverhill Breakfast Exchange Club and advisory board member of Lazarus House Ministries. He is also a Haverhill Stadium commissioner.

“We are overwhelmed by the support that the community has shown so quickly for this event,” said Carina Pappalardo, CEO of The Psychological Center. “This gala will help to raise much needed funds for our programs and we are so appreciative of everyone who has already purchased tickets and sponsorships.” Proceeds raised benefit programs that provide emergency shelter and individualized addiction treatment services, including the Daybreak Shelter, Pegasus House and Women’s View.

Among the sponsors is Pentucket Bank of Haverhill, which donated $5,000.

Tickets are $50 and available online at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-psychological-centers-overcoming-obstacles-gala-tickets-27178550777.
