The Massachusetts Smart Growth Alliance and the office of state Rep. Andy Vargas are hosting a transit focus group and mixer for city residents Wednesday downtown at The Tap Brewing Company.
Locals with opinions on Haverhill’s future transit options are encouraged to attend and chat with regional stakeholders at TODrinks, an informal mixer promoting transit-oriented development. According to event organizers, TOD refers to areas that include housing, office, retail or other amenities in a walkable neighborhood setting that is a half-mile from public transportation.
Wednesday’s free mixer, held from 6:30-8:30 p.m., includes appetizers. Interested attendees are asked to RSVP via Facebook by searching for the “TODrinks Haverhill” event page.
