The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce is again looking for a new leader as Stacey L. Bruzzese, president, steps down.

Bruzzese, who has been credited with breathing new life into the more than century-old organization, served for little more than two years, following the resignations of Sven A. Amirian, a former city councilor and now school committeeman, and former Sen. James P. Jajuga before him. Bruzzese leaves Sept. 30 to become director of marketing and new business development for Santo Insurance and Financial Service, Salem, N.H.

“It is with extremely mixed emotions that I move on from this role. The members of the Greater Haverhill Chamber have become friends in my time here, and the organization has flourished, however I have longed for an opportunity to once again work in the field of marketing.” Bruzzese continued, “This new role provides me that opportunity and brings me back closer to home.”

Eric LaFleur, chairman of the chamber board, said a search for a new leader begins immediately.

“Bruzzese has made a tremendous impact on the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce and will be truly missed. We appreciate her efforts while running the Chamber, and wish her the best of luck in her new endeavors.”

To apply, contact the chamber office at 978-373-5663 or contact LaFleur at 978-373-1010.

  1. She did a great job but I am not surprised at all. It has been a revolving door for a while. It isn’t easy trying to deal with the local politicos around here when trying to get things done, some of which only care about themselves and how they look.
