The February meeting of community-based drug addition awareness group Haverhill Cares takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 13 in room 301 of City Hall at 4 Summer Street.

Group founder John Cowan will speak alongside outreach social worker Katie Ryan starting at 6:30 p.m.

Ryan is well known to those associated with Haverhill’s anti-addiction efforts. In 2015, she rode along with city police responding to opiate overdose calls and working to get victims into treatment. Her employer NFI operates a clinic at 76 Winter Street, one of 32 programs statewide.

Tuesday’s Haverhill Cares meeting is free and open to all.
