Haverhill purchased a new fire pumper in February, the first major vehicle purchase in the new multi-year plan to add fire trucks and modernize the HFD fleet.

Mayor James J. Fiorentini visited the Bradford Fire Station Monday with Chief Laliberty to check out new fire pumper, which has been retrofitted for Haverhill’s fire department and is expected to go into service very soon.

Engine One will see its initial service at the busy High Street Station, and then move to Bradford Fire Station after six years. The city is paying for Engine One with a bond over many years.
