Gary Donald Cote, 58, a Groveland resident for the past 51 years, died early Tuesday morning, Nov. 15, at Holy Family Hospital, Methuen, with his family by his side.
Born in Haverhill Dec. 4, 1958, he was the son of Maude E. (Hardy) Cote of Groveland and the late Paul A. Cote. He attended Bagnall School and and graduated from Whittier Vocational Technical High School. He worked at the Market Basket on Lincoln Avenue in Haverhill for 15 years. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins.
Predeceased by his father, Paul, and his sister, Sandra L. Cote, he leaves behind his mother, Maude; two sisters, Paula Baillargeon and husband David of E. Baldwin, Maine, and Linda Conrad of E. Rochester, N.H.; three brothers, Michael Cote and wife Darlene of Kingston, N.H., Alan Cote and wife Cheryl of Haverhill and Jeffrey Cote of Groveland; seven nieces and nephews, Melissa Guthrow, Michelle Guthrow, Daniel Cote, Matthew Cote, Michael Conrad, Dillan Conrad and Michael Cote, along with many dear friends.
Visiting hours at the Monument Square Chapel of Paul C. Rogers Family Funeral Home, 334 Main St., Haverhill, are Monday, Nov. 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. A memorial service at the funeral home will be Tuesday, Nov. 22, 11 a.m. followed by burial in Riverview Cemetery, Groveland.
