Francisca Martinez, 95, of Methuen and formerly of Haverhill, died Tuesday, March 6, at her residence.
She was born in Puerto Rico on May 11, 1922, the daughter of the late Crispin Martinez and Juana Pintor.
Educated in Puerto Rico, Martinez came the United States in the early 1980’s and resided in Florida and Haverhill prior to moving to Methuen in 2006.
While living in Methuen she participated at Mary Immaculate Day Care Center, Lawrence.
She was the wife of the late Angel Roman who died in 1995 and mother of the late Joel Riveras and Luis Rivera.
Her survivors include her children, Gloria Esther Rivera, Santos Rivera, Luz Selenia Roman, Noemi Roman, Acovet Giroux Roman, Damaris Lozier Roman, Dorcas Roman, Abimeleth Roman and Ruth Esther Gallagos Roman, 80 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Monday, March 12 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the H.L. Farmer & Sons Funeral Home, 106 Summer St., Haverhill. Her funeral will be Tuesday, March 13, at 11 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
