First Time Homebuyer Training Begins Thursday

Community Action is gearing up for December’s first time homebuyer training sessions starting on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m.

Also held on Tuesday, Dec. 12 and Thursday, Dec. 14, the education course is open to all residents and is approved by MassHousing, with a Massachusetts Homeownership Collaborative-approved certificate awarded upon completion.

Topics discussed include bank lending, home inspection requirements, mortgage pre-qualification, foreclosure sales and affordable housing lotteries.

The cost is $60 per household and there are no income requirements to participate. Training is held in the community room at Presidential Gardens, 140 Evergreen Drive, Bradford.
