Mayor James J. Fiorentini outlined his latest Master Plan during his January state of the city address, and six months later, he’s asking Haverhill residents to help make that vision a reality.

On Friday, Fiorentini issued a memorandum asking residents to volunteer for several city boards and committees, including his new Master Plan Zoning Committee. The group is tasked with making recommendations for residential and industrial development over the next decade, Fiorentini’s office said. Key priorities for that committee include the location of the city’s next industrial park and how to encourage the construction of affordable housing.

Other boards and committees with immediate vacancies include the Downtown Parking Commission and the Community Development Block Grant Review Committee, which assesses which local nonprofits, schools and neighborhoods are most deserving of federal funds.
