Finn Murder Suspects Warner, Pitts Return to Haverhill to Face Arraignment

Two Delaware men arrested in connection with the murder of Bryce Finn (whose home is seen in this WHAV News photograph from June) are due in court this week.

Thomas Warner and Kenneth Pitts, the Delaware men arrested in connection with the June 2017 murder of Bradford’s Bryce Finn, have been extradited to Massachusetts ahead of an arraignment this week.

Behind bars at Delaware's Sussex Correctional Institution since their arrests, 21-year-old Warner and 18-year-old Pitts were both returned on fugitive from another state warrants on Wednesday, multiple sources tell WHAV.

The men will appear in front of a Haverhill District Court judge this week for arraignment.

Their return to the area comes one week after Nicholas Mandato, also from Delaware, was held without bail on a murder charge in Finn’s death.

WHAV was first to report that Finn was shot by a lone gunman while answering the door at his Rainbow Drive home on June 6, 2017, just days after his graduation from Haverhill High.

District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett’s office and Haverhill Police have so far declined to speculate on a motive for the killing, other than to confirm “investigators do not believe this was a random act.”

The teen’s mother, Meagan Finn, is grateful for the team—led by Haverhill Detective Rick Welch—who worked “tirelessly” to make the arrests. In a statement, she said the Finn family looks forward to seeing those responsible for his death brought to justice.

“What our family has gone through in the past year no family should ever be faced with. Our son Bryce brought happiness and love to so many lives and expected little in return,” she said. “We ask that you honor Bryce's memory by continuing his legacy of love: Hug your kids, kiss your partner, help to take action to see that this never occurs in our community again.”
