Ellena Yvette (Payette) Rowe, 94, passed away peacefully surrounded by family July 25, in Walpole.
A lifelong resident of Haverhill, she was born Dec. 20, 1921, to Alfred and Leonide (Sicard) Payette. She married Oran Rowe May 3, 1941, and they had three children, David, Susan, and Alan. Rowe used her talents in a variety of fields over the years, but ultimately retired from Raytheon in 1984. She was also a proficient knitter, reader of mystery novels and expert apple pie baker.
She leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law Susan and John Haberlin; son and daighter-in-law Alan and Susan Rowe; daughter-in-law Maureen Rowe; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oran; son David; great grandson, Logan; and her siblings Juliette, Camille, Roland, Richard, Yvonne, and Gabrielle.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rowe’s Life Celebration Wednesday, July 27, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral begins Thursday, 11 p.m., from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave., Haverhill. Burial follows in Linwood Cemetery.
