Ellen L. (Dostal) D’Angelo, 78, Worked at Lucent, AAA

Ellen L. (Dostal) D’Angelo, 78, of Bradford, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 15, at her home.

She was born in Northampton, May 12, 1939, daughter of the late Wallace Edward II and Edna L. (Frenier) Dostal. D’Angelo grew up in Northampton, having graduated from Northampton High School and later Northampton Commercial College. She was employed with Lucent Technologies for many years as an executive secretary. She also worked for AAA in North Andover. D’Angelo was an avid reader. She loved gardening and most especially time with her adoring grandchildren and great-grandchild whom she loved dearly.

D’Angelo is survived by two daughters; Mary Ellen D’Angelo-Lombari and husband John J. Lombari of Methuen, MA and Anne Marie D’Angelo Florent and husband Michael P. Florent of Newburyport. She also leaves behind four grandchildren; Sarah-Ann, Tyler, Zachary and Troy, one great-grandchild; Logan James, three brothers; Arthur, Bernard and Bill, three sisters; Anne Marie, Marianne and Sharlene and several nieces and nephews. Ellen will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Calling hours are Saturday, Oct. 21, from 2 to 3 p.m., at Grondin-Carnevale Funeral Home, 52 Salem St. Bradford, MA 01835. A funeral service will take place at 3 p.m., from The Grondin-Carnevale Funeral Home immediately following calling hours. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family kindly request donations in D’Angelo’s name be made to a charity close to your heart.
