Denise M. (Bradeen) Griffin, 97, Former Haverhill Secretary

Denise M. (Bradeen) Griffin, 97, a native and lifelong resident of Haverhill, died August 9 at Penacook Place in Haverhill.

She was born in Haverhill on Sept. 12, 1920, the daughter of the late Howard and Annette Lillian (Piquette) Bradeen, and was educated in local schools, graduating from Haverhill High School.

Griffin was formerly employed as a secretary and clerk for the Dugrenier Vending Machine Co. of Haverhill and was a longtime member of All Saints Parish of Haverhill and the former Saint Joseph Parish. Her interests included gardening and working in her yard.

The widow of Walter J. Griffin, who died in 1993, her two brothers, Chester “Chet” Bradeen, Sr. and Omer Howard Bradeen also predeceased her. She is survived by nephews, Steven Bradeen and a niece, Janet (Bradeen) Dempsey. Her nephews, Chester “Chet” Bradeen, Jr. and Wayne Bradeen predeceased her. She is also survived by a number of grandnephews and grandnieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, from 9-10 a.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in All Saints Church, 120 Bellevue Ave, Haverhill. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Haverhill.
