Deirdre M. Tremblay, 51, Holy Family Merrimack Valley Hospital Nurse

obitimage_deirdre_tremblayDeirdre M. Tremblay, 51, wife of Robert G. Tremblay, passed away July 17 at Merrimack Valley Hospice in Haverhill surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Kittery, ME, she was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Jeannette R. (Anderson) LaRosa. Raised and educated in Plaistow, Tremblay attended Timberlane High School in Plaistow and went on to receive her nursing degree from Lawrence Memorial School of Nursing in Medford in 1999. A compassionate caregiver, Tremblay was employed at the Holy Family Merrimack Valley Hospital as a registered nurse for over 19 years, working in several departments including the endoscopy department.

She was an avid reader and loved to cook for family gatherings. With her husband, she owned a condo in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. and loved to visit Dollywood and the Smoky Mountains. Tremblay enjoyed the music, the people and the countryside. Other favorite travel destinations included Cocoa Beach, Fla., Disney World and any camping spot with her husband and stepson.

In addition to her loving husband of 32 years Robert of Haverhill, she is survived by her stepson Nathan T. Whalen of Haverhill; three sisters, Jennifer L. Ward and her husband Billy of Hampton, N.H., Kimberly S. Dion and her husband Michael of Brookfield, N.H., Deanna D. Schlothan and her husband Henry of Haverhill; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, July 20 from 4 to 7 p.m.at the Kevin B. Comeau Funeral Home, 486 Main Street, Haverhill. Funeral services will be on Friday, July 21 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery, John Ward Avenue, Haverhill.
