Chamber Hosts Wingate Street Block Party, Scavenger Hunt Tonight

A downtown Wingate Street Block Party with scavenger hunt takes place tonight under the auspices of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce.

The block party—which does not close the street, but “opens it up,” as the Chamber says—takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. The event kicks-off at Teased Salon & Spa, 13 Railroad Square, and invites guests to participate in a scavenger hunt, visiting many participating area shops and businesses on a provided map. Attendees will hunt down items shown on the map to receive raffle tickets to be awarded at Peddler’s Daughter, 45 Wingate St., where there will also be food and refreshments.

“The Chamber is excited to offer participants this opportunity to welcome new and returning visitors to their shops and businesses. We invite the community to participate and join us. It is a wonderful time to introduce new businesses, check-in with familiar favorites, and highlight this unique and vibrant neighborhood,” said Beverly Donovan, president of the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce.

The cost to attend and receive a participant wristband is $5 for member and $10 for non-members. Reservations are required by emailing [email protected] or calling 978-373-5663.

Participating business include America First Clothing Company, Bella Stella Beads, Design Her Eyes a Lash & Brow Extension Experience, Essex Street Salon, Fairy Dust Decals, Fishbrook Design Studio, Lioness Boutique, Positive Images Gallery, Teased Salon & Spa, The Color Mint, The Inside View, The Peddler’s Daughter and Hair Gallery.
