Certain Haverhill Voters Cast Ballots Today for 3rd Essex State Rep.

WHAV Election Central.

Today is election day in parts of Haverhill.

Only one race is on the ballot—state representative. Democrats choose between School Committeeman Paul A. Magliocchetti and City Councilor Andy Vargas. Republicans have one choice, School Committeeman Shaun P. Toohey. Unenrolled—or independent—voters have the option to take either ballot.

The only neighborhoods voting are those previously served by state Rep. Brian S. Dempsey. As Haverhill City Clerk Linda L. Koutoulas’ office has explained, “If you vote at Kennedy Circle, First Presbyterian Church, the Hunking School, Northpoint Bible College or Bradford Elementary School, you will not be voting.”

Polling places open at 7 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.

97.9 WHAV FM will bring residents election results after 8 p.m. with a series of on-air reports with Marc Lemay. Streaming audio is also available at WHAV.net.
