Celia (Palen) Sudol, 88, Worked at Western Electric

Celia (Palen) Sudol, 88, lifelong resident of Haverhill, passed away Thursday morning, July 7, at Holy Family at Merrimack Valley Hospital, Haverhill, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley J. Sudol.

Born in Haverhill, June 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie (Wieczerxak) Palen and was a graduate of Haverhill High School. She worked at Western Electric as a coil winder, retiring after more than 30 years of service. Her enjoyments included playing Bingo, reading, trips to Foxwoods, and above all else, her children, grandchildren and family gatherings.

She leaves her two sons, Michael Sudol and the mother of his two children, Eleanor Sudol and Thomas Sudol and the mother of his two children, Linda Sudol, all of Haverhill; six  grandchildren, Eric, Karen, John, Michael, Derrick and Jason; three sisters, Frances, Kay and Patty; brother, Freddie; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A graveside service for family and friends takes place Friday, July 15, 11 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Haverhill. By request of the family, there will be no visiting hours. Kindly omit flowers. Instead, donations in her memory may be made to the D.A.V., National Headquarters, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250. Arrangements are by Paul C.
