Carol L. (Lavoie) Mazzaglia, 65, Former Telephone Operator

Carol_MazzagliaCarol L. (Lavoie) Mazzaglia, 65, a lifelong resident of Haverhill, died Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Saint Elizabeth’s Hospital, Brighton.

Daughter of the late Arthur and Arlene (Nelson) Lavoie, Mazzaglia was educated in  Haverhill Public Schools and was member of the Haverhill High School class of 1970. She was employed for 25 years as an operator by New England Telephone and Telegraph and was a member of Saint John The Baptist Parish. An avid reader, Mazzaglia also enjoyed ceramics and collecting glass

She leaves her husband of 42 years, James M. Mazzaglia; three daughters, Lynne M. Wiley and her husband Dana of Haverhill, Rebecca J. Mazzaglia and Sheryl M. Mazzaglia, both of Haverhill; brother Paul Lavoie of Belmont; sister, Joyce Leavitt of Haverhill; three grandsons, Seth Sparks, Jivany Torres, and Julien Torres; great-grandson, Caleb Sparks; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, Jan. 15, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill. Her funeral service follows at 5:15 at the funeral home. The family suggesst that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society.
